Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his signature style. She's performed on Broadway as well as in the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta currently, she is originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician singing and playing at the church in town. She studied at Spellman College and began to master the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You a House 12 was only released in Japan. It has been remixed several times, and has become a staple of her live shows. She also contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy as well as Tony Awards-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to serve as the director of the choir for the stage production of Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was brought to the attention of the nation during daily performances of four at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
